Command Master Chief Timothy M Bickerton

Command Master Chief Timothy M Bickerton, is a native of Reno, Nevada.  He enlisted in the United States Navy in June 1999 and attended basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL.  He reported to Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL where he completed Hospital Corpsman “A” School.
 
Upon graduation, he reported for duty at Fleet Surgical Team Five where he completed a WESTPAC Deployment on USS BOHOMME RICHARD (LHD 6).  His fleet assignments include to First Battalion Fourth Marines, First Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, CA, USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73) Yokosuka, Japan, USS CURTIS WILBUR (DDG 54) Yokosuka, Japan, and USS KEARSARGE (LHD 3), Norfolk VA. In addition, Master Chief Bickerton completed shore assignments as Naval Hospital Rota Spain, Afloat Training Group San Diego, CA, Commander U. S. Naval Forces Europe, Commander U.S. Naval Forces Africa, Commander U. S. SIXTH Fleet, and Command U.S. SECOND Fleet.  
 
Command Master Chief Bickerton is currently serving as the Command Master Chief Maritime Expeditionary Security Group TWO (MESG2). Previous CMC tour onboard USS Gravely (DDG 107). A graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and has earned his Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare, Enlisted Surface Warfare, Enlisted Aviation Warfare, Enlisted Information Warfare, Master and Afloat Training Specialist designations.
 
His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards); Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards); Combat Action Ribbon; Good Conduct Medal (eight awards); National Defense Service Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Iraqi Campaign Medal (Eagle Globe Anchor, one bronze star), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (Eagle Globe Anchor, two bronze stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal (one bronze star), and various other service and personal awards.
