Command Master Chief Felix Phillips

Master Chief Petty Officer Felix Phillips enlisted in the United States Navy from Greenwood, Mississippi August 1996. He attended Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois. Upon completion of Basic Training he attended Engineering Common Core at Service School Command, Great Lakes, and Illinois. Phillips’s first duty assignment was Naval Activity Support Adak, Alaska. His follow on tours include USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) homeported in Bremerton, Washington; USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7), Norfolk, Virginia; Naval Support Activity Naples, Italy; Center For Naval Engineering and Training Great Lakes, Illinois; USS Ponce (LPD-15) Norfolk, Virginia; USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) Norfolk, Virginia; Surface Warfare Officer School Engineering Learning Site Norfolk, Virginia and USS Devastator (MCM-6) Manama, Bahrain. Most recently he served as Command Master Chief of VAW-121 in Norfolk, Virginia.
Phillips’s academic achievements include Senior Enlisted Primary Professional Military Education, and graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 203, Blue) as well as Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat (Class 18020.
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and numerous other unit and campaign awards.
