
Capt. Christopher Koprivec

Capt. Koprivec a native of Massillon, Ohio, received his commission in 2000 through the Officer Candidate School after serving in the enlisted Interior Communications rate and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Valdosta State University in 1999. His enlisted assignments included; USS Houston (SSN-713) 1992–1995, and USS Wyoming (SSBN-742) 1995–1999.
He is also a graduate of Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), holding a Master’s Degree in Business Finance and the Naval War College JPME Phase 1 program.
Capt. Koprivec recently served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Aviation Logistics at Commander, Naval Air Forces Reserve (CNAFR), Norfolk, Virginia prior to coming to become Deputy Commander of Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group, Williamsburg, Virginia.
His sea duty assignments include: Supply Officer USS West Virginia (SSBN-736), Kings Bay, Georgia. Completing four strategic deterrent patrols, while his Supply Department was awarded consecutive Supply Battle “E’s”; Operations Officer Navy Cargo Handling Battalion ONE (NCHB-1), Williamsburg, Virginia; Capt. Koprivec deployed to Al Asad, Iraq in 2007 as the Officer in Charge of Cargo Transfer Platoon Two; Commanding Officer of Navy Cargo Handling Battalion ONE (NCHB-1) from 2017–2019.
Capt. Koprivec’s other shore duty assignments include: Aviation Support Division (ASD) Supply Officer, NAS JRB Willow Grove, Pennsylvania; Training and Evaluation Unit (TEU) Officer in Charge and the Director of Training and Readiness, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group (NAVELSG) Williamsburg, Virginia; O&M NR Budget Director at Commander Navy Reserve Force Command (CNRFC) in Norfolk, Virginia; Supply Corps FTS/GSA detailer at the Office of Supply Corps Personnel, Navy Personnel Command (NPC) Millington, Tennessee.
Capt. Koprivec is qualified Navy Expeditionary Supply Corps Officer, Naval Aviation Supply Corps Officer, and Submarine Warfare Supply Corps Officer. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Army Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and received the 2007 Reserve Robert F. Batchelder award for excellence in operational logistics support. He is married to the former Michelle Grauel of Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
