Deputy Commander, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group

Capt. Kurt Williams is deputy commander for Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group (NAVELSG) and commodore, 1st Navy Expeditionary Logistics Regiment. His previous assignment was as Director for Logistics and Infrastructure, Navy Region Southeast Reserve Component Command Jacksonville.

Williams received his commission in 1998 through the Naval Reserve Direct Commission Officer program upon graduation from the University of Alabama, where he received his Master of Business Administration in Strategy, Logistics, and Accounting.
His sea duty assignments include tours as deputy assistant chief of staff for Logistics and Infrastructure on the staff of commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and commander, U.S. 5th Fleet; assistant supply officer aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69); training officer at Navy Cargo Handling Battalion (NCHB) 1; supply officer aboard USS Columbia (SSN 771); and operations officer for Navy Reserve Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Contingency Support Team, Distribution Operations Team -Bessemer.
His shore assignments include Director of Logistics and Infrastructure for Navy Region Southeast Reserve Component Command Jacksonville, Deputy Director Officer Plans (OP3A) and Reserve Supply Corps Program Manager at Naval Supply Systems Command, Office of Supply Corps Personnel (PERS 4412); Reserve Officer Community Manager, Navy BUPERS 3; Director of Training Technologies and Language, Regional Expertise, and Culture (LREC) at Commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat; and Assistant Director for Reserve Training Programs at Navy Supply Corps School, Athens, Georgia. Additionally, he served as Program Manager for the Navy Expeditionary Supply Corps Officer (NESCO) warfare qualification.
Williams is a qualified Submarine Warfare Supply Corps Officer, Naval Aviation Supply Corps Officer, and Navy Expeditionary Supply Corps Officer.
