Command Master Chief

Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron (MSRON) 2



Command Master Chief Briana Ridlon is a native of San Mateo, California. She joined the U.S. Navy in 2005 as an undesignated seaman.  Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois she reported to her first command where she was selected for the legalman rating. In 2008, she reported to Newport, Rhode Island to attend legalman school.

Master Chief Ridlon has a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Liberty University. She is a graduate of the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course Class 24080 and Senior Enlisted Academy Class 224. 

Her sea tours include USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), Norfolk, Virginia and USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), Yokosuka, Japan.  
Ashore, she served at Personnel Support Activity, Patuxent River, Maryland; Naval Consolidated Brig, Charleston, South Carolina; Special Operations Command, Korea; Office of the Judge Advocate General, Washington, D.C.; Navy Personnel Command, Millington, Tennessee; and Surface Combat Systems Training Command AEGIS Training and Readiness Center, Dahlgren, Virginia.   

Master Chief Ridlon reported to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron Two as the Command Master Chief in September 2025.

Her personal awards include Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Joint Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and various campaign and service awards.
