Lt. Cmdr. Jason Burke


Lieutenant Commander Burke is a native of Tacoma, Washington and a 2012 graduate of Saint Martin’s University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering. Additionally, he holds a Master’s of Science from Oregon State University in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Ocean and Coastal Engineering.

Upon commissioning from Officer Candidate School in October 2012, LCDR Burke was assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion ELEVEN out of Gulfport, Mississippi. While attached to NMCB ELEVEN he served as Alfa Company Platoon Commander, Detachment Andros OIC, and Operations Exercise Officer. In November 2015, LCDR Burke was assigned to NAVFAC MIDLANT Public Works Department Maine where held positions as the Deputy Director of the Production Division and Construction Manager. He attended Joint Diving Officer training at Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center in Panama City Beach, Florida from March to August 2019. Upon graduation, he assumed duties as the Command Diving Officer and Project Engineer at Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific, San Diego, CA from September 2019 to May 2021.

Lieutenant Commander Burke assumed the duties as Executive Officer of Underwater Construction Team ONE in May 2021.

Lieutenant Commander Burke is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Oregon. He qualified as Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist, Marine Engineer Dive Officer, Public Works Level II, and is a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps. His personal decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (2), and various service awards.
