Cmdr. Rebecca J. Parzyck

Cmdr. Parzyck is a native of Howards Grove, WI.  She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in March 1995.  She was commissioned as a Reserve Officer in the Civil Engineer Corps through the Direct Commission Officer Program in August 2007.

She reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 25 (NMCB 25) in October 2007, and served from 2007-2014 as Engineering Officer, Minneapolis Detachment Officer-in-Charge (OIC), Administration Officer, Legal Officer, and Charlie Company Commander.  In 2014 she deployed to Afghanistan with NMCB 25 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  As the Golf Company Commander and November Assistant Company Commander, she was responsible for the rehabilitation of a three story, 37,650 square foot building at an Afghan Army base to provide billeting for 300 Afghan National Army soldiers.  She also oversaw the development and implementation of a six month training schedule in construction and military staff functions in support of ISAF/NATO Coalition.  Upon returning home from deployment, she resumed her position as Charlie Company Commander for a few months before being assigned as the Assistant Operations Officer where she was responsible for planning and executing Battalion exercises, as well as, developing the FY OPORDER and Battle E submission.  In April 2016 she reported to Command Naval Forces Korea (CNFK) DET ENG, and served as the Training Officer of the detachment.  She reported to THIRTIETH Naval Construction Regiment (30NCR) in January 2019 where she served as the OIC of the Reserve Augment from 2019-2021.

Parzyck reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 22 (NMCB 22) in February 2022 where she serves as the Executive Officer.

Parzyck is a licensed Professional Engineer in Minnesota and is a qualified Seabee Combat Warfare Officer.  Her personal decorations include three Navy Commendation Medals, two Navy Achievement Medals, an Army Achievement Medal, and various unit and service awards.
