 Lt. Cmdr. Alexander J. Rovinsky


Lieutenant Commander Rovinsky is a native of Highland Lakes, New Jersey. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University in 2010 and commissioned an ensign after completion of Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. He holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from San Diego State
University.

Lieutenant Commander Rovinsky’s operational tours include Bravo Platoon Commander/Communications Officer/OIC Detail Diego Garcia, U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FORTY; and SEAL Team SEVEN N4/Contingency Engineering Division Officer/Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force – Iraq Engineer, Naval Special Warfare Group ONE Logistics Support Unit.

His shore assignments include construction manager, PWD Ventura; Deputy Public Works Officer, MCAS Miramar; FEAD Director, MCAS Miramar; and Public Works Officer/Executive Officer, Singapore Area Coordinator.

Lieutenant Commander Rovinsky assumed duties as Executive Officer, U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FOUR on June 8, 2023.

Lieutenant Commander Rovinsky is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Arizona and qualified as a Seabee Combat Warfare officer. He is also DAWIA Contracting Level III certified and a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (3 awards), Army Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (2 awards), Army Achievement Medal, and other personal, service, unit, and campaign awards.
