Command Master Chief Jesse Baca


Command Master Chief Jesse Baca enlisted in the U.S. Navy on June 29, 1998 at Los Angeles, California and attended boot camp at Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois.  He attended CE “A” School at Sheppard AFB, TX, and graduated in January of 1999.
 
While assigned to U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) FORTY in Port Hueneme, California in 1999 he completed deployments to Rota, Spain, Diego Garcia, Cape Verde Africa, and Camp Pendleton, California. In January of 2003, he transferred to Construction Battalion Unit 401 in Great Lakes, Illinois where he served as Project Supervisor during two construction projects, followed by a transfer in January of 2005 to the 20th Seabee Readiness Group where he served as Work Center Supervisor at R36. In 2008 he transferred to NMCB 133 and served as Detail Operations Chief and Lead CE in the Quality Control department during deployments to Yokosuka, Japan, and Kandahar, Afghanistan. In 2010 he transferred to Naval Construction Training Center, Mississippi where he became the Lead Instructor for both CE-C1 Advanced and Cable Splicing schools. Prior to his transfer from NCTC he was selected for Chief Petty Officer and transferred to NMCB FOUR in 2014 where he served as Detail Operations Chief, Convoy Security Element AOIC, CARAT exercise AOIC, and S3QC during three deployments to Yokosuka and Okinawa, Japan. In 2018 he was selected for Senior Chief Petty Officer and transferred to Logistics Support Unit One where he was assigned to SEAL Team FIVE serving as Combat Service Support Team Senior Enlisted Advisor, providing logistic support during NSW operations. In 2021 he transferred to NMCB FIVE and deployed to Okinawa, Japan as the Battalion Training Chief. During the homeport cycle he was selected to Master Chief Petty Officer and was transferred to NMCB THREE where he served as Delta Company LCPO August 2022 through April 2024.
 
In May 2024, Master Chief Baca assumed his present duties as Command Master Chief of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FIVE “The Professionals,” homeported in Port Hueneme, California.
 
Master Chief Baca has earned an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Mechanical Technology through Coastline Community College and has earned a Bachelor’s Degree through Excelsior University. He attended the Senior Enlisted Academy in May of 2019 and is Seabee Combat Warfare and Expeditionary Warfare qualified. His decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
