Cmdr. Brandon Castle
A native of California, Cmdr. Brandon Castle graduated from the University of Arizona Navy ROTC in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and reported to the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60) homeported in Norfolk, Virginia.
He completed both division officer tours aboard Normandy, holding jobs as Combat Information Center Officer, Force Protection Officer, Assistant Weapons Officer and Damage Control Assistant. As a department head, he served as Combat Systems Officer and Operations Officer for LCS Crew 106 embarked aboard the littoral combat ship USS Freedom (LCS 1).
Ashore he attended the Naval Postgraduate School, earning his MBA in Logistics and Transportation Management. He also served on the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) Staff at Naval Warfare Integration Group (N00X) and Navy Programming (N80); Surface Forces Pacific LCS Readiness (N48); and Afloat Training Group San Diego as Navigation and Seamanship Senior Assessor.
Castle's current assignment is Executive Officer for Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron (MSRON) Three.
His awards include a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), and various unit and service awards.
