Capt. Edward P. Bertucci
A native of New Orleans, Capt. Eddie Bertucci graduated from Louisiana State University in August 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in general studies.
Bertucci’s at-sea assignments include Strike Officer and Navigator aboard USS Monterey (CG 61); Operations Officer aboard USS Russell (DDG 59); N3/Operations Officer for Commander, Destroyer Squadron Nine; Commanding Officer, Patrol Coastal Crew Lima; Executive Officer then Commanding Officer aboard USS Paul Hamilton (DDG 60); and as Deputy N3 and N3/Operations Officer for Commander, Carrier Strike Group Nine. Bertucci began serving as Deputy Commander for Maritime Expeditionary Strike Group One in August 2022.
Ashore, Bertucci served as Theater Tactical Mobile Communications Officer and Joint Task Force Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) Planner for U.S. Naval Forces Europe in London; a Ship-Handling, Navigation, and Afloat Safety Instructor at Surface Warfare Officers School; and an instructor at the Naval Leadership and Ethics Center. While ashore, Bertucci also earned a Master of Science in Information Technology from the University of Maryland and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
Bertucci’s personal awards include Meritorious Service Medals, a Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and various unit and campaign awards.
