Command Philosophy
MISSION - Without it the Command doesn’t exist, it must be at the forefront of everything we do.
- Our commitment to Safety is unconditional and a mission enabler that must be integrated into everything we do, on and off duty. ANYONE is empowered to prevent or stop an unsafe activity.
- Our quality of construction and service must be exceptional. When it is not, we must do all that we can to correct it or correct the process—our reputation depends on it.
- Our standard of “doing the little things right” requires that we master the technical, tactical, communication, and logistical skills that enable our mission through consistent, competent practice.
- The Fleet expects Seabees to perform under pressure — we must practice and build resiliency. Mistakes will happen…we’ll learn from them and move on.
TEAM – The strongest form of ourselves and includes our families, it provides a sense of purpose and enables mission success.
- We treat each other with dignity, respect, and support each other despite our differences.
- We demand accountability…of ourselves and of our shipmates. We embrace the Get Real, Get Better Culture of Excellence.
- We take care of our families. We give our families the valuable time that they deserve and act when our Seabees’ families need a helping hand.
- We actively communicate. When we need help we ask, when asked for help we provide assistance.
PEOPLE – The building block of the team and our most valuable assets.
- I conduct myself with integrity in all that I say and do.
- I strive to be the best I can be—giving 100% when on the job and taking the initiative to explore new ideas that increase safety, quality of work, and speed of delivery.
- I am committed to improving personally and professionally to build my competence and character. I will maintain the highest level of physical and mental toughness.
- I have the courage to speak truth to power and act immediately when something doesn’t look right.
