Command Master Chief Daniel Hamilton


Command Master Chief Daniel Hamilton was born in Whittier, California. He joined the U.S. Navy due to the attack on Sept 11th, 2001. He enlisted on Oct 16th, 2003, in the Advanced Pay Grade program; attended Basic Training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL.
 
Master Chief Hamilton has deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom twice, March 2010 - April 2011 and May 2016 - March 2017. He spent countless hours as Lead on several Wounded Warrior projects during deployment. In between deployments, he returned to Afghanistan as a civilian contractor in 2011 as part of the U.S. Navy program (PGSS) Persistent Ground Surveillance System.
  
Master Chief has earned both Seabee Combat and Expeditionary Warfare. He was selected to the rank of Chief Petty Officer in 2014 while in Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Eighteen, where he was the Quality Assurance Chief. Shortly after completing his second deployment from Afghanistan, he was selected as Senior Chief Petty Officer in 2017 also while serving in Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Eighteen. He was the Operations Chief of NMCB 18. In 2020, Hamilton was selected to Master Chief Petty Officer and moved to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Fourteen to serve as a Company Master Chief.
 
A graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy class 224, he was selected to Command Master Chief Petty Officer in 2022.
 
Master Chief Hamilton's decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (second award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and various campaign, personal, and unit awards.
