Commander doug caster
Commander Doug Custer is a native of Lancaster, California. He commissioned in the United States Navy in December 2009 as a Surface Warfare Officer. CDR Custer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology from Florida State University.
Afloat, he served as a Deck Division Officer and VBSS Boarding Officer on USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43); Assistant Damage Control Assistant on USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71); Weapons Officer on USS Oscar Austin (DDG 79); Plans and Tactics Officer on USS Stout (DDG 55).
His shore assignments include OPFOR Surface Coordinator/ MIO OIC for Carrier Strike Group FOUR; N5 Plans and Future Operations for Destroyer Squadron 26; Future Operations Officer for Maritime Expeditionary Security Group (MESG) 2 Training and Evaluation Unit.
