Cmdr. Chris Ferrante


Commander Chris Ferrante hails from Fort Lauderdale, FL and earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Master of Arts in International Business from the University of Florida in 2007. Upon graduation he served as intern to the Office of Legislative Affairs, Executive Office of the President, the White House. In 2008, he attended OCS and commissioned as a Naval Intelligence Officer.
 
Cmdr. Ferrante’s operational assignments include Fleet Intelligence Watch Officer, and Deputy for counter-terrorism analysis in support of Commander Naval Forces Central Command, U.S. 5th Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. In March 2010, he was assigned the Deputy Intelligence officer for SEAL Team EIGHT in Little Creek, VA where he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. In April 2012 he was assigned as Fleet Intelligence Watch Officer and senior analyst for Commander Naval Forces Europe-Africa, U.S 6th Fleet in Naples, Italy. In April 2015, he served as the Intelligence Officer for Tactical Development & Evaluation Squadron FIVE at Naval Special Warfare Development Group in Dam Neck, Virginia.
 
In 2017, he was selected as a Secretary of the Navy Tours with Industry Fellow assigned to the Cyber Threat Operations Center at USAA in San Antonio, TX. In 2018, he reported as the Intelligence Department Head for Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command. 
 
He has also served as the Executive Officer at Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Colorado / Deputy Commander CTG 101.
 
His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal (4 awards), and various personal, unit, and service awards.
