Master Chief (SCW/EXW/MDV) Adam S. Winters
Originally from Georgetown, California, Master Chief Winters attended Golden Sierra High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy in February 2000 and attended Basic Training at Recruit Training Center (RTC), Great Lakes, Illinois, followed by Construction Electrician “A” School in Wichita Falls, Texas.
He reported to his first duty assignment onboard Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) FORTY in Port Hueneme, California, where he completed deployments to Rota, Spain and Naples, Italy.
After selection to the Seabee Diver program, CBCM attended second Class Dive School in Panama City Beach, Florida and arrived at Underwater Construction Team (UCT) TWO in Port Hueneme, CA in July 2003. During the next four years, he completed projects in Japan, Philippians, Diego Garcia, San Clemente Island and Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He returned to Panama City Beach, Florida in 2007 to attend first Class Dive School then returned to UCT TWO as the Training LPO and Training Officer. He then completed multiple deployments as the Assistant Officer-in-Charge and Officer-in-Charge of Construction Dive Detachment Bravo and in May 2013 attained the coveted Master Diver qualification. From 2014 to 2018 he served as the command Maintenance Officer and Operations Chief.
In 2019, he transferred to Naval Construction Group (NCG) ONE as the Group Master Diver while also serving as the Operations Chief and Training Chief. He transferred to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FOUR in February of 2020 where he served as the Bravo and Echo Company LCPO.
Currently CBCM Winters is serving as the Command Master Diver and Senior Enlisted Leader of Underwater Construction Team TWO.
CBCM graduated from the Senior Enlisted Academy in February of 2019. He is qualified as Seabee Combat Warfare, Expeditionary Warfare, and Master Diver. His military awards include three Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, two Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medals and multiple campaign and service awards. He is married to Adriana Winters and has four children: Jasmin, Adam, Bret and Evan.
