Cmdr. James "Jimmy" Angerman
Cmdr. Angerman is a native of Corte Madera, California. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute in 2006 and commissioned as an Ensign through the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps program. In 2015, he received a Master of Science in Construction Management from Louisiana State University.
Cmdr. Angerman’s operational tours include Air Det Operations Officer/Deployment for Training Officer in Charge (OIC)/Detail Spin Boldak, Afghanistan OIC, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FIVE; Combat Service Support Detachment ONE OIC, Naval Special Warfare Group ONE; and Operations Officer, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion ONE.
His shore assignments include Construction Manager/Seabee Division Officer/Assistant Regional Engineer Action Officer, Public Works Department Naples, Italy/Naval Facilities Engineering Command Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia; Assistant Training Officer, Naval Construction Group TWO; Public Works Officer, Naval Support Activity Bethesda; and Legislative Liaison, Navy Office of Legislative Affairs.
Cmdr. Angerman assumed command of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion ELEVEN in June 2024.
Cmdr. Angerman is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Louisiana, a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps, and a qualified Seabee Combat Warfare Officer and Naval Parachutist. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards), and various other personal, service, unit, and campaign awards.
