Master Chief Buddy A. Parsons


­­­Command Master Chief Buddy A. Parsons enlisted in the Navy in February 2001 and completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois. Following training as a Construction Electrician (CE) at Sheppard Air Force Base (AFB), Texas, he reported to the Public Works Department in Naples, Italy in July 2001.

His operational experience began in October 2003 with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) ONE in Gulfport, Mississippi.  During this tour, he served in diverse roles, including Seabee Engineering Reconnaissance Team (SERT) gunner, Tactical Movement Team (TMT) gunner, and Assistant Convoy Commander, deploying to Guam, Japan, and completing three tours in Iraq.

In July 2008, he transferred to Sheppard AFB to serve as an instructor at the CE “A” School.  Selected for Chief Petty Officer in September 2009, he later volunteered for an Individual Augmentee (IA) assignment as the Regional Support Command Assistant Engineer in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Returning to Gulfport in December 2012 with NMCB ELEVEN, he served in key leadership roles including Detachment Officer in Charge, Battalion Communications Chief, Convoy Security Element Convoy Commander, Bravo Company Chief, and Air Detachment Operations Chief, deploying to Africa, Guam, and Fiji.  In January 2016, he transferred to Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit THREE ZERO THREE in San Diego, California, where he served as Headquarters Company Chief, Communications Chief, and Reserve Site Supervisor.

Selected for Senior Chief Petty Officer in June 2016, he then served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor at Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Southwest.  In December 2018, he joined NMCB THREE, deploying to Okinawa, Iwakuni, and Malaysia.  During this tour, he served as Air Detachment Chief (AD5) and Battalion Training Chief (S7C).
