Command Master Chief Veronica J. Moczygemba
Command Master Chief Veronica J. Moczygemba is a native Texan, but grew up in Boise, Idaho. After graduating from Boise High School, she attended college at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (New Mexico Tech) in Socorro, NM.
She graduated from New Mexico Tech in 1998 with two Baccalaureates of Science degrees in Environmental Engineering and Basic Sciences. In 2002, she affiliated with the Navy Reserves under the Non-Prior Service Accession Program. Master Chief Moczygemba is a graduate of Blended Class 52 at the Senior Enlisted Academy. She also graduated with high honors from St. Leo University in 2015 with a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Project Management.
Her duty assignments include the Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit (CBMU) 303, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 18, NMCB 22, 3rd Naval Construction Regiment (NCR), US Forces Korea, Amphibious Construction Battalion Two, Joint Staff South, the Senior Enlisted Academy, and 7NCR. In 2006-2007, she deployed to Balad, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with NMCB 18/74 and in 2018 to Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti, Africa with the Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa. She is currently the Command Master Chief at Naval Construction Battalion 14.
Master Chief Moczygemba is Seabee Combat Warfare, Information Warfare and Expeditionary Warfare qualified. Her awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal (2 awards), Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (5 awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and various other campaign, unit, and personal awards.
