Command Master Chief (SCW/EXW) Juan Zetino

Command Master Chief Juan C. Zetino is a native of Los Angeles. He enlisted in the Navy August 1999, attending basic training in Chicago, and completed Builder “A” School in Gulfport, Mississippi. He holds an associate degree in Construction Management and is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 226 Blue Team and the Command Master Chief and Chief of the Boat Course.
His previous assignments include Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, where he deployed to Diego Garcia; Rota, Spain; Atsugi, Japan and Operation Enduring Freedom, Iraq. He also served with 31st Seabee Readiness Group, Port Hueneme, California, where he was assigned as a R73 Contingency Construction Instructor; NMCB-4, where he deployed three times to Afghanistan; Naval Construction Group (NCG) 1, Port Hueneme, where he was assigned as the N75 tactics leading Chief Petty Officer and N7C Training Chief; and NMCB 5 as Charlie Company’s Leading Chief Petty Officer, deploying twice to Okinawa, Japan. He also filled the role as Command Master Chief (CMDCM) for Center for Seabees Facilities and Engineering and Senior Enlisted Advisor for Civil Engineer Corps Officers School and the CMDCM for Naval Construction Training Command, Port Hueneme. He recently finished a three-year CMDCM tour with NMCB-4 deploying twice to INDOPACOM.
He assumed his current position as CMC onboard 30th Naval Construction Regiment, Guam, in March 2024. His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Army Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), Navy Unit Commendation (two awards), Navy Battle Efficiency Ribbon (three awards), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terror Expeditionary & Service Medals and various other unit and campaign awards.
