Command Master Chief Matthew J. Bodenner
ISCM Bodenner, a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, reported to Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois in June 1998 and began his career as an Engineman. In 2011 he laterally converted to Intelligence Specialist.
His sea duty assignments include USS O’KANE (DDG 77), EODMU 11, EODMU 5, USS MOMSEN (DDG 92), Navy Expeditionary Guard Battalion Guantanamo Bay (NEGB GTMO), Navy Expeditionary Intelligence Command (NEIC), USS MAHAN (DDG 72) and USS JASON DUNHAM (DDG 109).
His shore duty assignments include Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Intermediate Maintenance Facility Detachment Everett, Afloat Training Group Norfolk and Defense Intelligence Agency.
He completed 5 shipboard deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Global War on Terrorism in the Arabian Gulf, Western Pacific, Horn of Africa and Mediterranean. Additionally, he has served boots on ground in Cuba, Djibouti and INDOPACOM AOR.
Master Chief Bodenner is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 209/Brown) and CMC/COB Course (Class 23060), and has been awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (2 awards) and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5 awards) as well as multiple unit and campaign awards.
In March 2025, he reported to his present assignment as the Senior Enlisted Leader for Navy Expeditionary Intelligence Command.
