Cmdr. Jacob Pike
Commander Jacob Pike is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. He attended undergraduate and graduate studies at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, graduating with Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Criminal Justice before commissioning as a Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) in 2008 through the Naval Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. CDR Pike served in two at-sea assignments before he was selected for lateral transfer into the Intelligence community in 2012.
His operational tours include Communications Officer onboard MCM CREW FEARLESS; Navigator onboard USS PINCKNEY (DDG 91); and Staff Assistant Intelligence Officer for Commander, Carrier Strike Group TWO, embarked onboard USS GEORGE H. W. BUSH (CVN 77) and USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69). Most recently, he served as Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence (N2) for Commander, Carrier Strike Group TEN.
Ashore, Pike’s assignments include Team Lead responsible for current analysis and production in the EUCOM and AFRICOM areas of responsibility at Nimitz Operational Intelligence Center at the Office of Naval Intelligence; Executive Briefer to the OPNAV Staff and Deputy Undersecretary of the Navy for Policy while serving at the Chief of Naval Operations Intelligence Plot (CNO-IP); Russia Analysis Branch Chief for Commander, Naval Forces Europe/Africa, and Commander, Sixth Fleet (CNE-CNA-C6F); Assistant Deputy Director for Intelligence (ADDI) on the National Joint Operational Intelligence Center in the National Military Command Center; and Aide-de-Camp for the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency.
His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and various unit and campaign medals. His warfare qualifications include Information and Surface Warfare.
