 Commander Brandon Castle

A native of California, Brandon graduated from the University of Arizona NROTC in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and reported to USS NORMANDY (CG-60) home ported in Norfolk, Virginia.

He completed both Division Officer tours onboard NORMANDY holding jobs as Combat Information Center Officer, Force Protection Officer, Assistant Weapons Officer and Damage Control Assistant. As a Department Head, he served as Combat Systems Officer and Operations Officer for LCS CREW 106 embarked on USS FREEDOM (LCS-1).

Ashore he attended the Naval Post-Graduate School earning his MBA in Logistics and Transportation Management, served on the OPNAV staff at Naval Warfare Integration Group (N00X) and Navy Programming (N80), Surface Forces Pacific LCS Readiness (N48), and Afloat Training Group San Diego as Navigation and Seamanship Senior Assessor.

Brandon’s most recent assignments was Executive Officer and Commanding Officer, Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron THREE.

His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (5), Navy Achievement Medal (2) and various unit and service awards
