Warrior Transition Program (WTP)
The ECRC Warrior Transition Program (WTP) is a vital link in the Individual Augmentee (IA) process. WTP facilitates IA Sailors reintegration process following a deployment in support of Overseas Contingency Operations by providing Combat and Operational Stress Control Continuum (COSC) workshops, collecting gear and weapons, and coordinating onward movement.
The WTP Staff is relatively small, but we work as an efficient team. The typical work week is from Thursday to Monday 0800-1700.
It is imperative that you coordinate your arrival with WTP Staff well in advance. A WTP Staff member will meet you upon arrival at the airport. The time difference between Germany and EST is +6 hours EST and +9 hours PST.
Your check-in at WTP will take approximately 10 days. Basic requirements for check-in include:
-
Processing pay records and filing of your initial travel claim
-
Orders Endorsement
-
Verification of required training
-
WTP OIC introduction and brief
-
Training in execution of assigned duties
The NWU Type 3 uniform is the uniform of the day at WTP Sembach. During your uniform issue at ECRC HQ, please ensure that all of your insignia is correct, name tapes are spelled correctly, and uniforms fit properly. Local Army and Air Force uniform shops do not carry Navy uniform items. Be sure to pack the Navy PTU as Command PT and PRTs are conducted while at WTP. Additionally, it is highly suggested that you bring plenty of civilian clothes (non U.S. markings recommended) with you. We experience temperatures as high as the 90s in the summer and as low as single digits in the winter.
In your berthing, you will be provided with sheets and pillows, however, you are welcome to bring or purchase your own resources. There is basic AFN cable provided at no extra cost to you and Wi-Fi is available for purchase through TKS for your own router in your room.
On behalf of the entire staff, welcome to the WTP team!
