Build the Future—Underwater

As part of an elite team of Navy Underwater Construction Technicians, you'll use cutting-edge diving and construction skills to build, repair, and maintain the critical underwater infrastructure that supports global Navy and joint-force operations. From ports and piers to undersea cables and fleet moorings, you’ll work in some of the most challenging and dynamic environments around the world.

Surface to Seafloor—Become the Expert

Your journey begins with a six-month advanced training program in Panama City, Florida. You'll dive deep into subjects like:

  • Basic and advanced diving techniques

  • Diving medicine and physics

  • Underwater construction and demolition

Grow Your Skills—Lead the Way

After graduating, you’ll be assigned to one of two Underwater Construction Teams where you'll sharpen your skills, gain real-world experience, and step into leadership roles as your career progresses. Whether you’re working beneath the waves or managing operations topside, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the mission moving forward.
