Lt. Cmdr. Jake Hagan




Lieutenant Commander Hagan is a native of Los Angeles. At the age of 17 he entered the U.S. Navy in February of 1999. After graduating Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended Steelworker “A” School in Gulfport, Mississippi. Lieutenant Commander Hagan spent 14 years as an enlisted Sailor and attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer in September of 2008. He commissioned in the Civil Engineer Corps through the Limited Duty Officer program in October of 2013.
 
His operational tours include assignments with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 4, Sea, Air, and Land Team’s 1, 5, and 7, Combat Service Support Detachment 1, Amphibious Construction Battalion 1, twice in Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 5. He has served in positions as squad leader, crew leader, logistician, combat service support engineer, operations chief, senior enlisted advisor, safety officer, assistant training and readiness officer, detail officer in charge, assistant air detachment commander, staff engineer and training and readiness officer.
 
Shore assignments include the 31st Seabee Readiness Group, Naval Special Warfare Logistical Support Unit 1, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 18, and 13th Naval Construction Regiment. He served in positions as machine gun section leader, military tactics & training division leading petty officer, reserve support staff officer in charge, security manager, anti-terrorism/force protection officer, weapons and ordnance officer, physical security officer, battalion training and readiness officer, Oceania area operations officer, exercise operations officer, and logistics operations officer.


He reported to Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit 202 in June of 2025. Lieutenant Commander Hagan is a qualified Seabee Combat Warfare Officer, Expeditionary Warfare Specialist, and Master Training Specialist. His personal decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (11 awards), Army Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and other personal, service, unit and campaign awards.
