Command Master Chief Raul M. Delacruz
Command Master Chief Raul Delacruz, a native of California, was raised in San Antonio, Texas, where he enlisted in the Navy in June 1993. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command in San Diego, he reported to Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center Pacific (FLEASWTRACENPAC), where he completed the Sonar Technician training pipeline. He holds an Associate Degree in Administrative and Management Studies from Excelsior College. He graduated from the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 153) in June 2010, Command Master Chief Course Class 135 in September 2014 and attended the U.S. Fleet Forces Enlisted Leadership Symposium in November 2018. He is an Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and a Master Training Specialist.
In March 1995, he reported aboard USS Thorn (DD 988) and completed his initial sea tour in 2000. He then returned to FLEASWTRACENPAC where he served as an instructor and advanced to Chief Petty Officer in 2003. In 2004, he reported aboard USS Hopper (DDG 70) as the Undersea Warfare Division Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO) and anti-submarine warfare specialist, advancing to Senior Chief Petty Officer in 2006. He reported to the Naval Mine and Anti-Submarine Warfare Command (NMAWC) in 2007, where he was assigned as the Assessments Department LCPO. At NMAWC, he served as a unit level and sea combat commander fleet assessor and trainer. In August 2010, he reported aboard USS Philippine Sea (CG 58), serving as the Weapons Department LCPO and advanced to Master Chief Petty Officer in 2014. In October 2014, he reported aboard USS Spruance (DDG 111) as the Command Master Chief. He served as the Command Master Chief of Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center from April 2018-April 2021.
He reported to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron Three in April 2021.
His personal awards include a Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), and various unit, campaign and service awards.
