Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group

NAVELSG

The Naval Expeditionary Logistics Force reinforces blue-water lethality by providing a wide-range of supply and transportation support critical during competition, crisis, and conflict.
The Naval Expeditionary Logistics Force conducts a variety of missions to include rearm, repair, resupply, refuel, replenish, restore, and revive integrated U.S. Naval forces.
NAVELSG is responsible for providing expeditionary logistic capabilities for the Navy, primarily within the maritime domain of the littorals.
- Conduct surface and air cargo handling missions, cargo terminal and warehouse operations, fuels distribution, postal services, customs inspections, ordnance reporting and handling, and expeditionary communications
- NAVELSG is an “operational Reserve” command of which 10% or personnel are active-duty and 90% are Reserve forces
- NAVELSG is a vital enabler of maritime prepositioning forces and joint logistics over the shore

Naval Construction Force

The Naval Construction Force builds and protects completed and ongoing projects including; road construction/repair, bridge construction/repair, expeditionary medical facilities, and logistics bases.

The Naval Construction Force is scalable, agile, and mobile; the force can respond to unfolding global events in 72 hours.
The Naval Construction Force provides humanitarian assistance and recovery operations at home and around the world in the aftermath of natural disasters; to include potable drinking water in remote regions through their water well drilling capability.
Seabees are the Engineering Force of Choice for Combatant Commanders because they are designed to be self-sustaining as to not detract from the resources other units and the native population.
The Naval Construction Force reinforces blue water lethality and bridges the gap between sea and shore by building and repairing port infrastructure.

Navy Expeditionary Warfighting Development Center

Navy Expeditionary Warfighting Development Center (NEXWDC) was established to train and support the NECF in threat doctrine, and tactics at the advanced/integrated level; conduct warfighting capability assessments to identify and mitigate Navy expeditionary, and anti-terrorism force protection capability gaps; and validate and integrate concepts into doctrine and tactics.

NEXWDC is a subordinate command of the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC). NECC is responsible for organizing, manning, training, equipping, and sustaining the NECF to execute combat, combat support, and combat service support missions across the full spectrum of Naval, Joint, and Combined operations which enable access from the sea and freedom of action throughout the sea-to-shore, and inland operating environments.

Maritime Expeditionary Security Force

The Maritime Expeditionary Security Force is a core Navy capability which reinforces blue-water lethality by protecting port and harbor infrastructure, securing high value assets, and dominating in the littorals with maritime security operations.

The MESF Mission is to defend designated high value assets and, when ordered, conduct offensive combat operations against a determined enemy throughout the maritime domain.
