Virginia Beach, Va. - Capt. (ret) Bobbie Scholley participates in Navy Diver operations while on active duty. Sholley served as a Diving and Salvage officer and held key leadership roles in many Navy Diving Operations including the TWA Flight 800 recovery in 1996, the USS Cole bombing recovery, and USS Monitor Expeditions. She held Commanding Officer positions with USS Bolster (ARS 38), a diving and salvage ship; Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit Two; and Naval Weapons Station, Earle, NJ. She was also the U.S. Navy’s Supervisor of Diving. Sholley retired from the U.S. Navy in 2005 after 24 years of service. (U.S. Navy photo)
