CMDCM (SCW/EXW) Robert M. Marshall
Command Master Chief Marshall is a native of Brooklyn, NY, and enlisted in the United States Navy Reserve on Nov 29th, 2001, as a direct result of the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. He reported to Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois in May 2002 and began his career as a CE3 through the APG program.
He has served in a myriad of assignments and units: first with NMCB 21, deployed with NMCB 7 and NMCB 3, then assigned to NMCB 27, NAVFAC CEU and NMCB 25. Positions included Bravo Company OPS Chief, Bravo Company Chief, Command Career Counselor, Admin Chief, Training Chief and Operations Chief. He has also served as Senior Enlisted Leader with NAVFAC. He was selected for Chief in 2010, Senior Chief in 2014, Master Chief in 2017 and CMDCM in 2019. His last tour was Command Master Chief of NMCB 25.
His current assignment is Command Master Chief, FIRST Naval Construction Regiment in Port Hueneme, California.
Command Master Chief Marshall is Seabee Combat Warfare and Expeditionary Warfare qualified. He is also an honor graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 199) and the Naval Leadership and Ethics Center course (August 2019), as well as receiving various other personal and unit awards. He was a finalist for Sailor of the Year in 2009 and has an associate’s degree in Electrical Mechanical Technology from Coastline Community College. In civilian life, he is a Detective with the NYPD and married with two children.
