Master Chief Samuel Fayad



Master Chief Fayad hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He joined the Navy in 1993 and attended Basic Training in Orlando, Florida.

Upon completion of recruit training in Orlando, he reported to the Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center (NMITC), Dam Neck, Virginia, where he attended Intelligence Specialist “A” School.  In December 1993 he reported to the Atlantic Intelligence Command (AIC) where he worked in the SOUHTCOM Branch and the CARIBLANT Branch as an imagery interpreter and eventually an imagery team supervisor.

In June of 1997, he received orders to the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69).  On board the mighty IKE, Master Chief Fayad served as the Multi-Sensor Interpretation (MSI) Work Center Supervisor, Carrier Intelligence Center (CVIC) Leading Petty Officer, and MSI Officer.  During his time onboard, he completed two Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf deployments, advanced to First Class Petty Officer, and earned both his Enlisted Surface Warfare and Enlisted Air Warfare qualifications.

In 2001 after completing his assignment, he was selected to serve as the Intelligence Specialist Junior Detailer at COMNAVPERSCOM in Millington, Tennessee. There he wrote over 1,000 enlisted orders and guided and mentored over 1,800 junior Sailors on career decisions. In 2001, he was advanced to Chief Petty Officer.

In March 2004, he reported to the USS Kearsarge (LHD-3) and served as the Joint Intelligence Center (JIC) Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO).  Shortly after reporting onboard, he was advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer.  Due to his advancement and completion of an Intermediate Deployment Training Cycle onboard, he received new orders to the USS George Washington (CVN-73) and reported onboard in February 2005.  He was key in standing up the new Intelligence Department on board and serving as the Intelligence Department Leading Chief Petty Officer (DLCPO). Subsequently, he was promoted to Master Chief.

In May 2007, he reported to the Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center and was the Senior Enlisted Leader of the command. Under his leadership, over 1,500 students successfully graduated from Intelligence Specialist ‘A’ School and five NEC awarded ‘C’ Schools.

In October 2009, he returned to Millington, Tennesee after being selected to serve as the Intelligence Specialist Technical Advisor at BUPERS-3. During his three year tour, he mentored and molded the Intelligence Community by managing accession training quotas, advancement quotas, and SRB award levels.

In September 2012, he reported to United States Fleet Forces Command (USFFC) where he served in the N2/39 Directorate as a fleet liaison while spearheading future plans, policies, and initiatives.  He also served as the N4 senior enlisted leader.

In December 2014, he reported to Navy Information Forces Command (NAVIFOR) where he worked in the N3 Department as the LCPO for Fleet Intelligence Detachment (FID) and the Fleet Intelligence Adaptive Force (FIAF).  He also served as the NAVIFOR SEL.

In October 2018, he reported to Naval Special Warfare Group 10 (NSWG10) and was the N2 LCPO and also the Echelon III LCPO for Special Reconnaissance Team 1 and 2 (SRT1/2).  He advised the SRT1/2 leadership on manning, training, and equipping (MT&E).

In November 2021, Master Chief Fayad reported to the Navy Expeditionary Intelligence Command (NEIC) where he currently serves as the command’s Senior Enlisted Leader.
